Sensitivity as neurosis? Some cultures (more introverted ones) value this trait greatly. In my experience, it can enhance enjoyment of life greatly. From what I have read, both old and new material on personality traits emphasizes positive potential of high sensitivity. But I'm probably being over-sensitive here... :-)

I was immediately put off by the implication of introversion
and sensitivity as neurotic. This only seems to reflect the culture's bias towards extroversion.
