I retired in 1996 after plying trains over the Western Railway, Mumbai, for 41 years, including 25 years over the Suburban network. The Suburban network is a sprawling beehive of commuters rushing in and out, hurrying to reach their destinations or head for home. I was often moved by a handicapped youth struggling to reach the train. I used to invite him into my driving cab & tried to make him comfortable. After some time, I casually enquired about his handicap and his profession. He revealed that he lost his leg while hurrying across the tracks to reach his college examination hall. After his release from hospital, he took up to writing about God. I sceptically asked him if anyone has ever seen God. He confidently replied, “I have seen God. One night, in deep despair, i wanted to end my life, but i saw a Bright Light Full of Love and Sympathy. It Was God Sending me a message, “Don’t fear. I Am Always With you. I Will Look after you. You are My son!” I pass on this message from the young man, Daulat Doodeja for all of us who are going through the Valleys of Darkness and Depression in Life.

Actually the comments I wrote about this are from Dr. Doty's own description of his childhood and perception. They are not my own personal commentary. I refer you to his TED talk to confirm their credibility: http://tedxgoldengateed.org...
