A Beautiful example of what Youth can do to make a difference! Thank you Maggie for listening to your heart and taking Action. Empathy into ACTION is how we can all make an impact. One person, child, school, village at a time. Sending you big HUGS and I'd love to collaborate with you when I come to Nepal. I'm a Cause Focused Storyteller who volunteers over half of her time in developing countries sharing literacy programs and The Story Book project in which we collect real people's real stories of overcoming adversity. Let's talk sometime! HUG!

I sincerely appreciated this article. I am only reading it now, however some of the prior comments give me pause. I am simplistic in my spiritual journey, yet have had many 'aha' moments. I don't feel you have to 'wholly' know yourself before you begin a process such as this. Actually starting this process helps you to get to 'wholly' know yourself as well as others and things around you. If you don't have an open mind, then the secrets of the universe cannot come into your mind for you to examine. Being curious, letting your mind wander, paying attention to coincidences and contradictions actually helps our minds to open up. Simplistically, it's like saying you can be in front of the beach and are not able to even begin to look at it much less understand what it feels like to be in the water or swimming in it unless you are an accomplished swimmer. How then do you become an accomplished swimmer unless you pay attention, wander, and actually try.
