I was in his class at Princeton. He attended an SAE Monday Night Football rush party (approx. 20 people), then went to several eating clubs (tons of people, free beer), willingly drank himself into oblivion, then walked to the Wawa (a convenience store), then left his friends briefly to climb a fence and climb on top of a train and reach up to touch the power rail.
After all this, he decided that his fate was not due to his own decisions, but rather those who provided him with access -- to beer, education and transit (Cottage Club/Campus Club, Princeton and NJ Transit, respectively).
Somehow, the guy got paid $5+ million for his drunken rampage -- a relative pittance to Princeton, but enough to send Campus Club into bankruptcy. In my 43 years, this is one of the worst behaviors I have ever seen. And yes, he was a cocky a-hole before this ever happened.
