I totally agree with the words in this post. I want to be a part of the story - that's why I read fiction (I'm 68). I enjoy the environmental and atmospheric conditions, the underlying as well as in-your-face emotional phases the characters go through, and the way it makes me question who I am and what might I do. I believe the writer wants me to experience their story however if fits me best. Thank you Ursula for sharing your thoughts so well.
