The phrase "specially abled" like just totally does not work for me. It's ungrammatical and it's useless--we all have different combinations of gifts and disabilities, so if it's worthwhile to mention any of them, better to say which one/s we mean.
Such a fantastic interview and read. Thank you all and Mr.Ferose, its so nice to hear about your efforts for Organisations to give opportunity to differently abled people, so that they can incorporate into the society and build up their self confidence and move on in life. The immediate family and the support system is always there for the child, but its time that the society takes it up and provides better opportunity for them to become more independent and progress. Mr.Ferose, regarding the India Inclusion summit, does one have to register in advance. Wish to get an opportunity to meet you there.
thank you! wow, Ferose, what gems you have shared. Indeed, here's to turning pain into purpose! My father tried to kill himself 5 times and died when I was 22. The pain in that experience led to sharing compassion in every encounter and in realizing every one we meet has a story and challenges. If we meet them with open heart and mind and even arms, we can perhaps uplift in that one moment. That connection can make all the difference for that one person in that one moment. It has changed my life (I also carry a FREE HUGS sign wherever I go, because you never know when someone might need a hug)
Hugs from my heart to yours for a beautiful life story of sharing your compassion and vision in all aspects of your life. here's to listening and learning!
