Mary Reynolds díjnyertes kerteket és tájakat tervezett szerte a világon. Természetvédő és református tájtervező, mert szavai szerint "Mindennek változnia kell. Nekem is." A The Garden Awakening: Designs to Turture Our Lands and Ourselves című könyve „lépésről lépésre útmutató a földi életerővel harmóniában lévő kert létrehozásához, amely nemcsak arra keresi a választ, hogy a földért felelős emberek mire vágynak, hanem arra is rákérdez, hogy mivé akar válni a föld”. Reynolds emellett alapítója a nemzetközi kertújítási mozgalomnak, a „We Are the Ark”-nak, az Acts of Restorative Kindness nevében. Úttörő munkája arra hívja az embereket a világ minden tájáról, hogy a kertjüket élő, egymással szorosan összefüggő ökoszisztéma részévé alakítsák. Többet is megoszt ebben a 2016-os előadásban.

Dear Mary, I just spent a lot of time after watching your inspiring video visiting your websites, especially WeAretheArk.org. What you said in this talk about feeling helpless in the face of so much corporate greed and inept (or worse) leadership hit home with me. I have asked repeatedly "what can *I* -- one person -- do?" and you have answered beautifully. Now I have a plan and a space I can nurture. The child analogy spoke to my heart. My little one (inner child) cannot wait to take care of the space I've been given to care for until I return to the earth. I've recently begun this year rewilding with a patch of wildflowers. And I got to be part of a challenge on Kindspring.org that taught me a lot about helping creatures in the garden to thrive (much like you share on your "Extra Activities" page. Thank you!)
