Absolutely bonkers. AI, then AGI is going to lead fast and furiously to a machine intelligence that can control humans. This stuff is being manufactured by little rich white men who don't want what's best for humanity, they want to rule us and kill us.
Don't believe me. Go check out this nonprofit Control AI https://controlai.com/
Watch Nate Hagens "The Great Simplification" interviews with people who are not hyping hope and possibility because unregulated social media went so horribly but we will do better this round, look for people who see this technology as an extinction event we need to regulate and disarm with treaties like we have for nuclear weapons.
I'm sure Ms Srinivasan is a wonderful person who is happily addicted to technology.
And the monsters behind AI are careful to promote their extinction machine and not regulating it now, because right now is when we have any influence on our survival as a species.
There is the AI we have lived with to date. There is AGI coming in next year or two, and then there is the end game where these machines are thinking for themselves and no longer serve us some think within a couple years.
Where is one word about regulation in anyone who is selling you AI daydreams?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. SlAIvery not so much.
I was going to let this soft pitch for best buddy AI slide by, but this video with Nate Hagens on The Great Simplification scared the crap out of my 70 year old body.
Sending loving kindness to you reading this and hope we grow a greener more just world. At least that is what I'm working on. A stewardship society where we care for other plants and animals, not a caste system for a sociopath's command and control tech nightmare for us.
