Dear Ms. Srinivasan, thank you for pointing out that "We live in an entangled universe with an underlying unity." I think you're right, that our Western consciousness is still being plowed forward by the Enlightenment--plowed into an impersonal desert, into binary thinking that inevitably leads to conflict rather than community-building and love. As a psychologist and spiritual counselor on the Board of the Society for Buddhist-Christian Studies--and as a graduate of two ivy-league universities--I have many bruises from bumping up against the hard boundary of our "hyper secular, materialistic, and increasingly individualistic" Western civilization. One question: Why do you use the pronoun "She" for AI? In this conversation, there is a place for gender differences, and in my experience and research, binary consciousness has been more associated with men, rather than women. What do you think?
