"Ez duzu gizateriarengan fedea galdu behar. Gizadia ozeano bat da; ozeanoaren tanta batzuk zikinak badira, ozeanoa ez da zikintzen".
"Egiten dugunaren eta egiteko gai garenaren arteko aldea nahikoa litzateke munduko arazo gehiena konpontzeko".
"Umore zentzurik ez banu, aspaldian bere buruaz beste egingo nuke".
Mahatma Gandhik ez du aurkezpen luzerik behar. Mundu guztiak daki 1947an indiar herria britainiar agintetik independentziara eraman zuen gizonaren berri.
Beraz, joan gaitezen Mahatma Gandhi-ren nire gogoko aholku batzuetara.
1. Aldatu zeure burua.
"Munduan ikusi nahi duzun aldaketa izan behar duzu".
"Gizaki gisa, gure handitasuna ez datza hainbeste mundua birsortzeko gai izatean -hori da aro atomikoaren mitoa- geure burua birsortzeko gai izatean".
Zeure burua aldatzen baduzu zure mundua aldatuko duzu. Pentsatzen duzun modua aldatzen baduzu, sentitzen duzuna eta egiten dituzun ekintzak aldatuko dituzu. Eta beraz, zure inguruko mundua aldatuko da. Ez bakarrik orain zure ingurunea pentsamenduen eta emozioen ikuspegi berrien bidez ikusten ari zarelako, baita barneko aldaketak ekintzak egiteko aukera emango dizulako (edo agian pentsatuko ez zenituzkeen) pentsamendu-eredu zaharretan trabatuta egonda ere.
Eta zeure burua aldatu gabe kanpoko mundua aldatzearen arazoa da oraindik ere zu izango zarela ahalegindu zaren aldaketa horretara iristen zarenean. Zure akatsak, haserrea, negatiboa, auto-sabotaje joerak eta abar osorik izango dituzu oraindik.
Eta, beraz, egoera berri honetan oraindik ez duzu espero zenuena aurkituko, zure gogoa oraindik gauza negatibo horrekin filtratzen ari baita. Eta gehiago lortzen baduzu zure egoarekiko ikuspegirik eta urruntzerik izan gabe, indartsuagoa izan daiteke. Zure egoak gauzak banatzea, etsaiak aurkitzea eta bereizketa sortzea maite duenez, baliteke zure bizitzan eta munduan are arazo eta gatazka gehiago sortzen saiatzen hastea.
2. Kontrola duzu.
"Inork ezin nau minik egin nire baimenik gabe".
Zer sentitzen duzun eta zerbaiten aurrean nola erreakzionatzen duzun beti zure esku dago. Gauza ezberdinen aurrean erreakzionatzeko modu "normala" edo komun bat egon daiteke. Baina gehienetan hori dena besterik ez da.
Zure pentsamenduak, erreakzioak eta emozioak hauta ditzakezu ia denetarako. Ez duzu aspertu behar, gehiegi erreakzionatu edo modu negatiboan erreakzionatu ere egin beharrik. Agian ez beti edo berehala. Batzuetan, belauneko erreakzio bat besterik ez da egiten. Edo pentsamendu-ohitura zahar bat sartzen da.
Eta zeure buruaz kanpoko inork ezin duela benetan kontrolatu nola sentitzen zaren konturatzen zarenean has zaitezke pentsamendu hori zure eguneroko bizitzan sartzen eta pentsamendu-ohitura gisa garatzen. Denborarekin gero eta indartsuago haz daitekeen ohitura. Hau egiteak bizitza asko errazten du eta atseginagoa egiten du.
3. Barkatu eta utzi.
"Ahulak ezin du inoiz barkatu. Barkamena indartsuaren atributua da".
"Begiz begiak mundu osoa itsutzen besterik ez du egiten".
Gaizkiarekin gaitzarekin borrokatzeak ez dio inori lagunduko. Eta aurreko aholkuan esan bezala, beti aukeratzen duzu zerbaiten aurrean nola erreakzionatu. Pentsamendu-ohitura hori zure bizitzan gero eta gehiago sar dezakezunean, zuk eta besteentzat erabilgarriago den moduan erreakziona dezakezu.
Konturatzen zara iragana barkatzeak eta alde batera uzteak zerbitzu bikaina egingo dizula zuri eta zure munduko jendeari. Eta zure denbora memoria negatibo batean igarotzeak ez dizu lagunduko esperientzia horretatik ikas ditzakezun ikasgaiak ikasi ondoren. Seguruenik, zure buruari sufrimendu gehiago eragingo diozu eta momentu honetan neurriak hartzeko geldiaraziko zara.
Ez baduzu barkatzen, iraganari eta beste pertsona bati uzten diozu nola sentitzen zaren kontrolatzen. Barkatuz, lotura horietatik askatzen zara. Eta gero guztiz zentratu zaitezke, adibidez, hurrengo puntuan.
4. Ekintzarik gabe ez zoaz inora.
"Praktikak asko balio du predikazioak baino".
Neurririk hartu gabe oso gutxi egingo da. Hala ere, neurriak hartzea zaila eta zaila izan daiteke. Barne-erresistentzia asko egon daiteke.
Eta beraz, predikatzera jo dezakezu, Gandhik dioen bezala. Edo irakurtzen eta ikasten etengabe. Eta aurrera egiten ari zarela sentitzea. Baina bizitza errealean emaitza praktiko gutxi edo bat ere ez lortzea.
Beraz, benetan joan nahi duzun lekura iristeko eta zeure burua eta zure mundua benetan ulertzeko praktikatu behar duzu. Liburuek, batez ere, ezagutzak ekar ditzakete. Ekintza hartu eta ezagutza hori emaitza eta ulermen bihurtu behar duzu.
Arazo hau gainditzeko aholku eraginkor batzuk ikus ditzakezu Nola egin ekintza gehiago: 9 aholku indartsuak atalean . Edo hurrengo puntura pasa zaitezke orain arte aurkitu ditudan ekintza gehiago egiteko aholku onenari buruzko informazio gehiago lortzeko.
5. Zaindu momentu hau.
"Ez dut etorkizuna aurreikusi nahi. Oraina zaintzeaz arduratzen naiz. Jainkoak ez dit kontrolatu ondorengo momentuaren gainean".
Sarritan neurriak hartzea galarazten digun barne-erresistentzia gainditzeko aurkitu dudan modurik onena orainaldian egotea eta onartzea da.
Zergatik? Beno, oraingo momentuan zaudenean ez zara kezkatzen hala ere kontrolatu ezin duzun hurrengo momentuaz. Eta zure ekintzen etorkizuneko ondorio negatiboak imajinatzeak (edo iraganeko porrotak hausnartzeak) sortzen dizun ekintzaren aurkako erresistentziak indarra galtzen du. Beraz, errazagoa da neurriak hartzea eta une honetan arreta mantentzea eta hobeto errenditzea.
Begiratu orainaldira itzultzeko 8 moduri oraina nola azkar sartzeko aholkuak lortzeko. Eta gogoratu orainarekin berriro konektatzea eta bertan geratzea hazten zaren ohitura mental bat dela –gihar moduko bat–. Denborarekin indartsuago bihurtzen da eta errazagoa da unean uneko lerratzea.
6. Denak gizakiak dira.
"Beste edozein hilkor bezala oker egiteko moduko gizabanako sinple bat naizela dio. Hala ere, jabetzen naiz, nire akatsak aitortzeko eta nire urratsak itzultzeko adina apaltasun dudala".
"Ez da zuhurra norberaren jakituriaz gehiegi ziur egotea. Osasungarria da indartsuenak ahuldu daitezkeela eta jakintsuenak oker egin daitezkeela gogoratzea".
Jendearengandik mitoak egiten hasten zarenean, nahiz eta emaitza paregabeak eman izan, haietatik deskonektatzeko arriskua duzu. Haiek egindako antzeko gauzak inoiz lortu ezingo dituzula sentitzen has zaitezke, oso desberdinak direlako. Beraz, kontuan izan behar da denak gizaki bat besterik ez direla nor den.
Eta uste dut garrantzitsua dela gogoratzea denok gizakiak garela eta akatsak egiteko joera dugula. Jendeari zentzurik gabeko estandarrei eustea zure munduan alferrikako gatazka gehiago eta zure baitan negatiboa besterik ez du sortuko.
Garrantzitsua da hori gogoratzea ere egin dituzun akatsengatik zeure burua jipoitzeko ohitura alferrikakoan ez erortzeko. Eta, horren ordez, argitasunez ikusteko gai izan non gaizki egin duzun eta zure akatsetatik zer ikas dezakezun. Eta gero saiatu berriro.
7. Iraun.
"Lehenengo ez zaituzte jaramonik egiten, gero barre egiten dizute, gero zurekin borrokatzen dute, gero irabazi egiten duzu".
Izan iraunkorra. Denborarekin zure inguruko oposizioa lausotu eta eroriko da. Eta ahuldu egingo dira zure barne-erresistentzia eta autosabotaje-joerak, zu eutsi eta beti bezala mantendu nahi zaituztenak.
Aurkitu benetan gustatzen zaizuna egitea. Orduan, aurrera, joan eta aurrera jarraitzeko barne motibazioa aurkituko duzu. Motibazioari eusteko aholku baliagarri asko ere aurki ditzakezu Motibazio-jaitsieratik ateratzeko eta zeure burua motibatzeko 25 modu errazetan .
Gandhik bere indarkeriarik gabeko metodoarekin arrakasta handia izan zuen arrazoi bat bera eta bere jarraitzaileak oso iraunkorrak zirelako izan zen. Ez zuten amore eman.
Arrakasta edo garaipena oso gutxitan iritsiko da zuk nahi bezain azkar. Jendeak nahi duena lortzen ez duen arrazoietako bat lasterregi amore ematea dela uste dut. Lorpen batek beharko duela uste duten denbora ez da helburu hori lortzeko behar izan ohi den denbora bera. Sinesmen akastun hau, neurri batean, bizi garen mundutik dator. Pilula magikoz betetako mundua, non publizitateak etengabe agintzen digun 30 egunetan pisu asko galdu edo diru tona irabaz dezakegula. Honi buruz gehiago irakur dezakezu One Big Mistake a Whole Lot of People Maken .
Azkenik, zure iraupena mantentzeko aholku baliagarri bat Gandhiren hirugarren aipua artikulu honetan entzutea eta umorea mantentzea da. Une gogorrenetan gauzak arin ditzake.
8. Ikusi jendearen ona eta lagundu.
"Gizonen ezaugarri onei bakarrik begiratzen diet. Ni neu akatsik gabekoa ez naizenez, ez dut besteen akatsak aztertzen saiatuko".
"Gizakia handia bihurtzen da bere lagunen ongizatearen alde lan egiten duen mailan".
"Suposatzen dut garai batean lidergoak giharrak esan nahi zituela; baina gaur egun jendearekin ondo moldatzea esan nahi du".
Pertsonetan beti dago zerbait ona. Eta agian hain onak ez diren gauzak. Baina zer gauzatan zentratu aukeratu dezakezu. Eta hobekuntza nahi baduzu, jendearen onari arreta jartzea aukera erabilgarria da. Gainera, bizitza errazten dizu zure mundua eta harremanak atseginagoak eta positiboagoak bihurtzen baitira.
Eta pertsonengan ona ikusten duzunean errazagoa da zure burua motibatzea haien zerbitzura egoteko. Beste pertsonen zerbitzura egonez, balioa emanez, haien bizitza hobetzeaz gain. Denborarekin ematen duzuna jaso ohi duzu. Eta laguntzen dituzun pertsonak beste pertsonei laguntzeko joera gehiago senti daitezke. Beraz, zuek, elkarrekin, hazten eta sendotzen den aldaketa positiboaren goranzko espiral bat sortzen duzue.
Zure trebetasun sozialak indartuz pertsona eragin handiagoa izan dezakezu eta goranzko espiral hau are indartsuagoa bihurtu. Sail horretan aholku baliagarriak eskain diezazkizukeen artikulu batzuk 10 akats hauek egiten dituzu elkarrizketa batean? eta Dale Carnegieren 10 aholku nagusiak zure trebetasun sozialak hobetzeko . Edo hurrengo aholkura pasa zaitezke.
9. Izan kongruentea, izan benetakoa, izan zure benetako nia.
"Zoriontasuna pentsatzen duzuna, esaten duzuna eta egiten duzuna harmonian daudenean da".
"Jokatu beti pentsamenduaren eta hitzaren eta ekintzen arteko harmonia osoa. Helburua beti zure pentsamenduak garbitzea eta dena ondo egongo da".
Uste dut zure trebetasun sozialak hobetzeko aholku onenetako bat modu kongruentean jokatzea eta modu jator batean komunikatzea dela. Jendeari benetako komunikazioa gustatzen zaiola dirudi. Eta barne-gozamen handia dago zure pentsamenduak, hitzak eta ekintzak lerrokatuta daudenean. Indartsu eta ondo sentitzen zara zure buruarekin.
Hitzak eta pentsamenduak lerrokatzen direnean, hori zure komunikazioan erakusten da. Orain zure ahotsaren tonalitatea eta gorputz-lengoaia dituzulako (batzuek komunikazioaren ehuneko 90etik gora direla esaten dute) zure hitzekin lerrokatuta.
Kanal hauek lerrokatuta, jendeak benetan entzuten du esaten ari zarena. Inkongruentziarik gabe, mezu nahasirik edo agian faltsutasun modukorik gabe ari zara komunikatzen.
Gainera, zure ekintzak ez badatoz bat komunikatzen ari zarenarekin, egin dezakezunaren ustea mintzen hasten zara. Eta besteek zugan sinestea ere bai.
10. Jarraitu hazten eta eboluzionatzen.
"Etengabeko garapena bizitzaren legea da, eta koherentea agertzeko beti bere dogmak mantentzen saiatzen den gizona posizio faltsu batera eramaten du".
Ia beti hobetu ditzakezu zure trebetasunak, ohiturak edo zure ebaluazioak berriro ebaluatu. Zure buruaren eta munduaren ulermen sakonagoa lor dezakezu.
Noski, baliteke koherentziarik gabeko itxura izatea edo noizean behin zer egiten ari zaren ez dakizula. Arazoak izan ditzakezu koherentziaz jokatzeko edo benetako komunikatzeko. Baina egiten ez baduzu, Gandhik dioen bezala, posizio faltsu batera eramango zara. Zure ikuspegi zaharrei eusten edo eusten saiatzen zaren lekua koherentea agertzeko, zerbait gaizki dagoela konturatzen zaren bitartean. Ez da leku dibertigarria. Hazten eta eboluzionatzen aukeratzea bide alaiagoa eta baliagarriagoa da.

Thank you for sharing Amazing thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi.
Well some has praised and some has criticized this old Indian man, who was born in (Gujarat) India in 1869, he came to London in 1888 to get higher education and study Law also qualified as a Lawyer in England, matured and kind man care for his principle of Humanity in very early era; with due respect for all religions with strong belief in Truth, Non Violence and Forgiveness! He fight on these principles and had successful victory, and whole world has recognized and respected him as a Hero! Isn't it good enough to appreciate others good view ! Critics hardly see or learn from good qualities found in others !
Gandhi never said be the change. American
Arleen Lorrance wrote it in 1971
Whether quoting Ghandi or not, this is all good and inspiring advice. I don't know much about the man, I've heard good and bad. But the bottom line is, we need more positive thinking in the world. That's a really hard thing to come by these days, bad news around every corner for some of us. I've found my most positive changes begin when I change my own mind or allow someone else to inspire me. Thank you for your inspiration.
You said "Mahatma Gandhi needs no long introduction. Everyone knows about the man who lead the Indian people to independence from British rule in 1947."
This statement may be true for many but not the young generation becoming leaders today. We must continue to educate the children (the future) in order to help the world. Each breathing living person needs the strengthening balm of peace (awareness of peace) to become part of an ever evolving civilization.
I love this article, and agree with the concepts you've posted here.
That being said, Gandhi did NOT say "be the change you want to see in the world." See here for details: https://josephranseth.com/g...
"Be the change" does capture the essence of his teachings, and your article is a powerful resource for anyone wanting to self-purify and positively impact others in profound ways. (I'm just on a bit of a mission to clarify the mis-attribution of Gandhi's quote.)
Keep up the great work!
LATTERLY, MUCH HAS BEEN WRITTEN ABOUT THE NEGATIVES OF THE PRE-INDEPENDENCE LEADER-SOME CALLING HIM A CLOSETED GAY. OTHERS DESCRIBING HIM AS RACIST.............THE MANY WHO HAVE COME TO REVERE HIM, NOW SOMEWHAT STUNNED AT THE ALLEGATIONS
Please stop portraying Ghandi as a prophet by lying and associating others motivational stories and quotes to him. Gando's stories of racism, slavery, women rights abuses in Africa are known all over the world and easily available on Internet. Please research a little before and be truthful before coming up with such stuff.

Thanks for the informative article. Being the change!!
It is ironic that sometimes people who think highly of other 'leaders' ignore their bad qualities but tend to focus on the negatives of Gandhi which he, as a human, had, in his earlier life. For those, I say, correct your behavior first, before you criticize people who have done majority good!
Amazing how wise words remain wise words - truth remains truth no matter when it is spoken or heard. Good words for right now - thank you, Mahatma Gandi.

"5. Take care of this moment."
Yes, and yet keep a very watchful eye on both the past and the future. Living in the moment is often like a gift, much as a walk on the beach, or reading a fascinating book of fiction. If we are open to the miracles present in each moment, amazing possibilities are available. And yet, we are forging a future based on our attention to all three - the past, the present, and the future. Take care of this moment for the future is contained in each and every step, and many clues to a better life beyond mere existence are laid down in both the misery and triumphs of the past. If we aren't "taking care" of our attention on both the past and the future, we close the door to evolving enlightenment. Meditation and awareness on this moment are wonderful and necessary, and yet will never be enough for humanity to rise from the lessons hidden in the past or the limits placed on the present.
Take care of the past, and the present, and walk purposefully into a future that "you", one-by-one person at a time, want to be living, forged with your actions in the present, or you will wake up in a world not of "your" making. You will be living in a future planned and executed by those who did keep a watchful eye on the future by, indeed, taking care of this moment. Someone is and will be taking care of the future. Make it you. Make your present moment count in "your" future. Make it a future that you want to live within. And start working and living toward it now, right now, in the present.
Decide to take care of the past, present, and the future. Don't be blindsided by someone else's dream for the future, and especially when the ideas of some upholds the supposedly superior and entitled, and disrespects and disempowers others, or that is disrespectful of some human beings, all life forms, or that attempts to commodify and profit from the great "gift" of life, that damages and destroys the dignity and intrinsic worth of peoples, cultures, lands, creatures, fish, insects, plants, trees, forests, soils, waters, air, and life itself from our shared planet home.
Wake up yourself instead.
You are the future, living and working in the present, and learning from the past.
Make good use of both the past and the present to create a better future for you and for all than we have in this current moment in time of our human and planetary history.
We are blessed to have this moment to begin building a better world.
Give thanks for your life, and begin building a future that is truthful, just, merciful, and good. A future of truth, goodness, fullness, and abundance for all is begun with my hopes and dreams for the future, attention on the past, And the actions that I choose today.
Make your attention on the past, and your actions in the present count for the future we will all live within.
"Tell me, what is it you plan to do

They are wild and free.

They will lead and bring you home.

truth, justice, and mercy for all human beings and all of creation,
that is in love with the priceless

that refuses "the dying of the light",
rather rallies, to carry the light on high for all the world to see.
Be that light,
and the future is yours,
a wild and precious miracle of your making
to delight, embrace, treasure, and share with all.
Step 5...
Contradicts the previous 4 steps...
We are not puppets on a string waiting for God to move us here or there. God has given us "free will" so we may directly influence the very next moment in our lives as well as down the road. [Hide Full Comment]Gandhi's 10 Rules for Changing the World
[Hide Full Comment]•• Gandhi: 1. Change yourself: "You must be the change you want to see in the world. As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves."
*BeiYin: 'Change yourself' is an advice that goes against the 'law of nature' in that every thing once established, tries to keep it's state. That this is also the case with human beings, we can observe all around and within ourselves. Every body holds on ones 'properties' and does every thing to get more if it, to be sure that it stays like it is. Why? Because humans are *identified* with what they 'own' and so they are getting their feeling of 'existence' out of it!
• So the advice 'change yourself' will only be used to get more of the already gathered and if possible in more advanced and sophisticated aspects, whatever this might be...
• We can't and we don't need to 'remake ourselves'! No manipulation is required on no level of our existence! Not with our body, our mind, our emotions and not at the outside world! We only need to become *aware* of our state of *being* within that we are in this moment and then *relate* and *respond* the best we are capable, knowing that we are limited in our knowledge, due to our still erroneous state of being!
•• Gandhi: 2. You are in control. “Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”
*BeiYin: That's what every body wants: 'To be in control'! To be able to protect oneself against every thing that might 'hurt' oneself in ones established existence! How one feels and how one reacts depends on ones established mindset and only of a small part one is conscious about. The subconscious part, about that one is absolutely NOT aware, causes one to react on every thing that shows up in ones daily life and so there is no control possible, only manipulation at the outside!
• That makes it clear, that we are all stuck within a straitjacket of our established mindset, even though we have the self image that we are 'free' and able to 'control' our life!
• We are living out of concepts, goals and values, that are the result of centuries of misinterpretation and manipulation. We are defending our erroneous properties, with that we are so strongly identified and we have a big arsenal of defense tricks, to hold on what we believe we are! We always give the reason for every thing, that might hurt us in our property, to the outside and others and so keeping ourselves as much untouched as possible.
•• Gandhi: 3. Forgive and let it go. “The weak can never forgive. - Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”
*BeiYin: One can find for every thing a manipulation trick. You can see yourself as 'strong' and play this 'role', what includes that you can 'forgive' when you are hurt. With this tactic avoiding to look at yourself, realizing that you got hurt because you are conditioned and so dependent and weak. If you would *grow* through being *aware* of your conditioning by being able to use the encounter with others and your surrounding, then you would be thankful that they have caused your 'reactions' and so you would 'forgive' as part of your *understanding*, about yourself and the 'other'...
•• Gandhi: 4. Without action you aren't going anywhere. “An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.”
*BeiYin: An 'action' might be the result of a 'reaction' caused as an unconscious response, that then might cause an unwanted result that keeps one occupied and within the 'game'!
• Or ones 'action' is the result, when relating to a situation or condition, not necessarily reacting to spectacular aspects, but looking behind the appearance and then out of being responsible, acting in the best way one is capable. Knowing that the happening is a *challenge* as part of ones *growing*.
•• Gandhi: 5. Take care of this moment. “I do not want to foresee the future. I am concerned with taking care of the present. God has given me no control over the moment following.”
*BeiYin: 'The moment following' is the result of ones response to the moment right NOW. Then one can *relate* to this new moment and respond. When one reacts out of ones unconscious background, then the next 'moment' can serve oneself even stronger, as one might be pushed with ones nose into ones own misery! - Your 'God' will probably just laugh about your silliness...
•• Gandhi: 6. Everyone is human. “I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal. I own, however, that I have humility enough to confess my errors and to retrace my steps. It is unwise to be too sure of ones own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.”
*BeiYin: The characteristic of 'humans' is, that they put labels on every thing and then believe that they know what it is all about. Then they can classify all their property and store it in their mindset. Getting their sense and feeling of EXISTENCE out of it! Not needing and avoiding, to realize that all is based on erroneous interpretation and manipulation since beginning of 'humankind'! They see themselves as 'advanced' beings, when they admit that they might commit 'errors', not being able to realize, that they are living in a self created fake reality!
•• Gandhi: 7. Persist. “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
*BeiYin: Using this advice you can justify to hold on your established identification game and go on finding confirmation from the outside world and others.
•• Gandhi: 8. See the good in people and help them. “I look only to the good qualities of men. Not being faultless myself, I won't presume to probe into the faults of others. Man becomes great exactly in the degree in which he works for the welfare of his fellow-men. I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people.”
*BeiYin: 'Leadership today' means telling people what they want to hear and so 'getting along' with them, using this to manipulate people for their own benefit! -
To look 'only at the good qualities of men' is just too silly. - Ones 'observation' must include ones own condition! One need to be *aware* of all conditions to be able to respond in an effective and creative way, outside and within oneself! And only when one is *aware* of ones *whole being* then one can see the outside and others in an *objective* way!
•• Gandhi: 9. Be congruent, be authentic, be your true self. “Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.”
*BeiYin: These 'rules' were written more than seventy years ago! Now it becomes clear from where all those beautiful advanced 'quotes' with all those spiritual advises are coming from! And still without any information!
How possibly one can 'be authentic' and 'be ones true self'??? This advice only creates an even more sophisticated fake self image with that people can identify themselves and be busy trying to find confirmation for it when joining other 'like minded' and 'kindred spirits'!
Shouldn't it clear by now, that this is a survival game, keeping oneself going within ones fake reality?
So people can avoid to confront *reality* in their daily life and having the perfect survival trick always and every where at hand!
•• Gandhi: 10. Continue to grow and evolve. ”Constant development is the law of life, and a man who always tries to maintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a false position.”
*BeiYin: It doesn't need the advice to 'grow' and to 'keep growing'! What would help is the information and the understanding of it, that all *alive beings* are *growing*! And this for sure doesn't depend if you want this or NOT! One can observe the *growing* all around! In humans this is not so obvious, as they seem to be stuck in their present state of being. But also a beetle seems to be stuck when in the state of a cocoon, it is just a phase of transformation and then the moment will come, when the pressure from inside rises so much, breaking the stuck form and so the 'butterfly' can fly...
So better we *trust* our inbuilt *growing* force and then don't need to struggle to free ourselves so much!
We can also *trust* that the growing force is present every where in ones life and presents in any moment the opportunity to use every thing in ones daily life to *grow*! We should also 'know', that from our human side, there is resistance and we make ourselves blind by ignoring and rejecting what we don't 'like', because it doesn't confirm us in our established 'self image'.
So there should show up some essential and creative questions! The fact that there are hardly any doubts and so no questions, tells that one is not yet *ready* and must continue dreaming and struggling within ones 'cocoon' of illusions and ones 'self image'...
Or do you have an urgent, personal question? Then ask!
Gandhi's "10 Rules for Changing the World" and my comments on these...
•• Gandhi: 1. Change
yourself: "You must be the change you want to see in the world. As human
beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the
world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake
ourselves."
*BeiYin: 'Change yourself' is an advice that goes
against the 'law of nature' in that every thing once established, tries
to keep it's state. That this is also the case with human beings, we can
observe all around and within ourselves. Every body holds on ones
'properties' and does every thing to get more if it, to be sure that it
stays like it is. Why? Because humans are *identified* with what they
'own' and so they are getting their feeling of 'existence' out of it!
• So the advice 'change yourself' will only be used to get more of the
already gathered and if possible in more advanced and sophisticated
aspects, whatever this might be...
• We can't and we don't need to
'remake ourselves'! No manipulation is required on no level of our
existence! Not with our body, our mind, our emotions and not at the
outside world! We only need to become *aware* of our state of *being*
within that we are in this moment and then *relate* and *respond* the
best we are capable, knowing that we are limited in our knowledge, due
to our still erroneous state of being!
•• Gandhi: 2. You are in control. “Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”
*BeiYin: That's what every body wants: 'To be in control'! To be able
to protect oneself against every thing that might 'hurt' oneself in ones
established existence! How one feels and how one reacts depends on ones
established mindset and only of a small part one is conscious about.
The subconscious part, about that one is absolutely NOT aware, causes
one to react on every thing that shows up in ones daily life and so
there is no control possible, only manipulation at the outside!
•
That makes it clear, that we are all stuck within a straitjacket of our
established mindset, even though we have the self image that we are
'free' and able to 'control' our life!
• We are living out of
concepts, goals and values, that are the result of centuries of
misinterpretation and manipulation. We are defending our erroneous
properties, with that we are so strongly identified and we have a big
arsenal of defense tricks, to hold on what we believe we are! We always
find and give the reason for every thing that might hurt us in our
property, to the outside and others and so keeping ourselves as much
untouched as possible.
•• Gandhi: 3. Forgive and let it go. “The
weak can never forgive. - Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. An
eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”
*BeiYin:
One can find for every thing a manipulation trick. You can see yourself
as 'strong' and play this 'role', what includes that you can 'forgive'
when you are hurt. With this tactic avoiding to look at yourself,
realizing that you got hurt because you are conditioned and so dependent
and weak. If you would *grow* through being *aware* of your
conditioning by being able to use the encounter with others and your
surrounding, then you would be thankful that they have caused your
'reactions' and so you would 'forgive' as part of your *understanding*,
about yourself and the 'other'...
•• Gandhi: 4. Without action you aren't going anywhere. “An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.”
*BeiYin: An 'action' might be the result of a 'reaction' caused as an
unconscious response, that then might cause an unwanted result that
keeps one occupied and within the 'game'!
• Or ones 'action' is the
result, when relating to a situation or condition, not necessarily
reacting to spectacular aspects, but looking behind the appearance and
then out of being responsible, acting in the best way one is capable.
Knowing that the happening is a *challenge* as part of ones *growing*.
•• Gandhi: 5. Take care of this moment. “I do not want to foresee the
future. I am concerned with taking care of the present. God has given me
no control over the moment following.”
*BeiYin: 'The moment
following' is the result of ones response to the moment right NOW. Then
one can *relate* to this new moment and respond. When one reacts out of
ones unconscious background, then the next 'moment' can serve oneself
even stronger, as one might be pushed with ones nose into ones own shit!
- Your 'God' will probably just laugh about your silliness...
••
Gandhi: 6. Everyone is human. “I claim to be a simple individual liable
to err like any other fellow mortal. I own, however, that I have

unwise to be too sure of ones own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded

Awesome... love it
I had a good friend email me these amazing 10 thoughts of a truly highly evolved human being. Mahatma Gandhi is that once in a thousand years gift that all of humanity was presented by god. I now would like to quote a modern contemporary Mr Neil Young; "When one comes to a fork in the road lets not curse the darkness, but instead lets light a candle for all to see their way to safety". Mahatma Gandhi within these 10 thoughts has lighted many candles for all of us to find our ways through our daily lives. Mark P Schiesser, 2-5-2014.

I am a believer, not religious. I feel that God is with me and give me the strengthens to be most happy, I bring my conviction and courage. We can glimpse a morning, knowing you live in the present. [Hide Full Comment]Ghandhi was biggest bastard who let the partition of India and Pakistan happened and all Indians and Pakistani are facing sever setback as millions dollars are spent on defense in both the countries. Gandhi bastards drove back Indian Independence by many years. If he has motivated people to take guns in hand and favored all those Armed Revolutionaries, India might got Independence 100 years before 1947.

The simple aim of all individuals is to find peace & prosperity, their effort often does not get fulfilled, yet the satisfaction is they try to achieve the impossible.

While all of Ghandi's wisdom, and the insightful commentary, resonate with me, #10 truly pinpoints the place I find myself in now. An old belief keep tugging at me, while my inner, spiritual compass is gravitating me in a very different direction. It's been a challenge, but I'm learning to keep pressing forward. Thank you so much for this site!
This is one true sage that if humanity has plenty of the world would be a much more beautiful place in which to live.
