The whole idea of compassion is based on a keen awareness of the interdependence of all these living beings, which are all part of one another, and all involved in one another. --Thomas Merton

Jasmine the Rescue Dog:
When Jasmine the abandoned greyhound arrived at a wildlife sanctuary shivering and desperate for food, she needed all the love in the world to nurse her back to full health. Now it appears the kindness and patience shown to her has rubbed off - for the rescue dog has become a surrogate mother for the 50th time. Seven-year-old Jasmine is currently caring for tiny Bramble, an 11-week-old roe deer fawn found semi-conscious in a nearby field. But then again, she has had plenty of practice, having cared for five fox cubs, four badger cubs, 15 chicks, eight guinea pigs, two stray puppies and even 15 rabbits. This article shares some adorable pictures of Jasmine with her adopted "family". [more]

wow what exemplary unconditional love! She seems to be living Buddha's words….

As a mother would risk her own life
to protect her only baby child, exactly so
should one cultivate Universal Friendliness,
towards all sentient beings without exception!

We have a shitzu/lashuapsa shorthair dog named Momos(Tibetan for Dumpling/Japanese for peach.)  I knew he was wonderful, but I truly found out what a one-in-a million dog he was when I was suddendly paralyzed from the neck down.  Every day  he laid on my bed or on the floor right next to my bed for a period of over a year, "guarding" me.  Now that I've recovered, he continues his watch!

Yes, God does have his angels out there watching over us.  the love you in anything that lives and breathes is none other than God.  Only god knows what we need deep down inside of our hearts whether it is healing of the heat, mind body or soul.  Only he knows what form to send it in.  Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and touching story.
