ውሻን ወይም ድመትን ከመጠለያው የወሰደ ማንኛውም ሰው እንደሚመሰክረው፣ ስለታደገ የቤት እንስሳ የተለየ ነገር አለ፤ እንስሳው በህይወት ውስጥ ሁለተኛ እድል እንደተሰጠው እንደተሰማው ይመስላል. ጁኖ የተባለችው ቤልጅየም ማሊኖይስ ልትሞት ጥቂት ቀናት ቀደም ብሎ ከመጠለያው የዳነችው ያ ጉዳይ ነው። ነገር ግን ከቤተሰቦቿ ጋር በአልኮአ፣ ቴነን ለመኖር ከመጣች በኋላ፣ ጁኖ የአራት አመት እድሜ ላለው ሉካስ ሄምበሬ የአዳኝነት ሚና ተጫውታለች።
ሉካስ ረጅም የስኳር ሞለኪውሎችን ለማፍረስ የሚያስፈልገው ኢንዛይም ባለመኖሩ ወይም ባለመስራቱ ሳቢያ በሳንፊሊፖ ሲንድሮም በሚባለው በዘር የሚተላለፍ የሜታቦሊክ በሽታ ይሰቃያል። በሽታው እየገፋ ሲሄድ ልጆች የመናገር, የመራመድ እና የመብላት ችሎታ ያጣሉ. በሽታው ወደ ኃይለኛ ባህሪ, ከፍተኛ እንቅስቃሴ እና መናድ የሚያስከትል ከባድ የነርቭ ጉዳት ያስከትላል.
የሉካስ አባት ቼስተር “ወላጆች ልጃቸው ይህ በሽታ እንዳለበት ሲያውቁ የሚሰሙት በጣም አሳዛኝ ነገር ምንም ዓይነት መድኃኒት ወይም ሕክምና አለመኖሩ ነው” ብሏል።
ያ ካልተቀየረ ሉካስ ከ15 አመቱ በላይ ይኖራል ተብሎ አይጠበቅም እና ስምንት አመት ሲሞላው በእፅዋት ሁኔታ ውስጥ ሊሆን ይችላል። ቼስተር እና ባለቤቱ ጄኒፈር እያንዳንዱ ቅጽበት በጣም ውድ መሆኑን በመገንዘብ ልጃቸው አሁንም የመደሰት አቅም እያለው የሚችለውን ያህል እንዲለማመድ ይፈልጋሉ።
ጸሎት እና ጽናት
እናም በሽታው በሉካስ መገጣጠሚያዎች ላይ መጎዳት ሲጀምር ቼስተር ሉካስ ሲራመድ እንዲረጋጋ የአገልግሎት ውሻ ለማግኘት ተመለከተ። "የአገልግሎት ውሻ ቢያንስ 15,000 ዶላር እንደሚያወጣ ተነግሮኝ ነበር፣ እና ሉካስ በችሎታው እና በባህሪው እያሽቆለቆለ በመምጣቱ ጥሩ እጩ እንዳልሆነ ተነግሮኛል" ሲል ቼስተር ይናገራል። "ይህን መልስ ለመቀበል ፈቃደኛ አልሆንኩም."

በፍቅር እና በፍቅር የተሞላ
ነገር ግን ዝርያው በፓትሮል እና በውጊያ ላይ ያለውን ችሎታ ሲያረጋግጥ ቼስተር ጁኖ ለትንሽ ልጁ ተስማሚ የሆነ የውሻ ውሻ እንደሚሆን እርግጠኛ መሆን አለበት. ቼስተር እንዲህ ብሏል: "በላላ ገመድ ላይ አስቀምጧት እና ከእኔ ጋር ሄደች እና በጭራሽ አልጎተተችም." "ቀጣዩ የሉካስ ፈተና መጣ። ልክ እንደ ዘመድ መናፍስት እርስ በርሳቸው ተገናኙ።" ሄምብሬስ ጁኖን ወደ ቤት አምጥተው በፍቅር እና በፍቅር አዘቧት።
ቼስተር "መደበኛውን ስልጠና ከመጀመሬ በፊት ከቤተሰብ ጋር ለመላመድ ብዙ ጊዜ እንዳላት ማረጋገጥ ፈልጌ ነበር" ብሏል። ገና ከጅምሩ ስለ ግንኙነታቸው በደመ ነፍስ የሆነ ነገር ያለ ይመስላል። አንድ ቀን ቼስተር ጁኖ ሉካስን በዊልቼር ላይ እያለ ሲዞር አስተዋለ። ቼስተር እንዲህ ብሏል:- “ታለቅሳለች እና በአፍንጫዋ ነቀነቀችው። "የኦክስጅንን መጠን ፈትጬዋለሁ እና እነሱ በጣም ዝቅተኛ ነበሩ." ኦክሲጅን ከሰጠው በኋላ ሉካስ ወደ መደበኛው ተመለሰ እና ጁኖ በላሳ እና በፍቅር ተቀበለው።
ቼስተር እንዲህ ብላለች፦ “የነርቭ ለውጦችን የመከታተል ችሎታ እንዳላት ያወቅኩት ያኔ ነበር። አሁን ሉካስ ሊጥል ሲል ወይም የኦክስጂን መጠኑ በጣም ዝቅተኛ ከሆነ አስጠነቀቀችን። ብዙ ጊዜ አድነዋለች። ጁኖ ለሉካስ በእግር ሲራመድ የሚደገፍበት፣ እና ሲናደድ የሚያረጋጋ ተጽእኖ ሆኗል። እና ቼስተር ጁኖ የእረፍት ጊዜ ማግኘቱን ቢያረጋግጥም፣ ጁኖን ከሉካስ ጎን እንዲለቅ ማድረግ ከባድ እንደሆነ ተናግሯል። “አንዱን ያለ ሌላው በቅርብ አታይም” ይላል። "በእርግጥ እንዲሆን የታሰበ ያህል ነው የሚሰማኝ።"

I am impressed reading the true story of Lucas , a 4 years little boy and his pet .I pray for you Lucas to live long . Nothing is impossible with GOD. Men give you only 15 years of life but GOD says HE heals you. GOD is watching you over your act of kindness.And He will heal you from your sickness. GOD Bless you, Lucas !!!

I've come to understand that my loving Miss Kitty Cody was a rescue cat (owner got sick and never came home) and very neurotic when she came to live w/me. She cried for a week but finally got used to me, her new home and lots of loving attention. I've never known such a loving cat and she sure senses my moods and communicates her needs & she know lots of words, like, "Do you want to go in the window?" If yes, she runs in the bathroom and jumps up to the window which I open for her - aw, fresh air! As a senior she is the best buddy ever, and I don't have to take her for walks in the cold outdoors.
Dogs are the most animals ,who love with all their hearts, the wonderful friend one can desire.

What an inspiring story. I have a beautiful dog Buddy. He has been my mate for nearly 18yrs. There was a time in my life when I was extremely ill and he was my only friend, as I did not want to burden others with my disabilities. He saw me through, gave me courage in his silent but strength giving manner. He knows all. He is deaf now and full of arthritus and still the most loving soul I will ever know. I thank him forever for the strength and friendship he gives me. I never wanted a dog but the day I met him as a pup it was love at first sight. He is my true soul mate. Thankyou to all the wonderful pets out there and the people who have the time to connect to them.
Unconditional love in the true sense is a dog and his mate.
Keep your heart open Lucas, you are a truly inspiring soul as is your Juno.
