Как сообщает издание Asian Age , более 30 лет назад подросток по имени Джадав «Молай» Пайенг начал сажать семена на бесплодной песчаной отмели недалеко от своего места рождения в индийском регионе Ассам.
Это был 1979 год, и наводнение вынесло на песчаную отмель огромное количество змей. Когда Пайенг, которому тогда было всего 16 лет, нашел их, все они уже погибли.
«Змеи погибли от жары, без тени деревьев. Я сел и заплакал над их безжизненными телами», — рассказал Пайенг газете Times Of India .
«Это была настоящая бойня. Я сообщил в лесное управление и спросил, можно ли там сажать деревья. Они сказали, что там ничего не вырастет. Вместо этого они предложили мне попробовать вырастить бамбук. Это было тяжело, но я сделал это. Мне некому было помочь», — рассказал он газете.
Теперь эта некогда бесплодная песчаная коса превратилась в обширный лес площадью 1360 акров, где произрастают несколько тысяч видов деревьев и обитает поразительное разнообразие диких животных, включая птиц, оленей, человекообразных обезьян, носорогов, слонов и даже тигров.
Лес, метко названный «лесом Молаи» по прозвищу его создателя, был в одиночку посажен и возделан одним человеком — Пайенгом, которому сейчас 47 лет.
Как сообщает издание Asian Age , Пайенг посвятил свою жизнь сохранению и развитию леса. Приняв уединенный образ жизни, он еще подростком жил один на песчаной отмели, проводя дни за уходом за растущими растениями.
Сегодня Пайенг по-прежнему живет в лесу. Он делит небольшую хижину со своей женой и тремя детьми и зарабатывает на жизнь продажей коровьего и буйволиного молока. По словам помощника лесничего Гунина Сайкия, это, возможно, самый большой в мире лес посреди реки.
«Мы были удивлены, обнаружив такой густой лес на песчаной косе», — сказал Сайкия газете Times Of India , добавив, что местные власти узнали о лесу в Пайенге только в 2008 году.
Наконец-то Пайенг может получить помощь и признание, которых он заслуживает.
«[Местные жители] хотели вырубить лес, но Пайенг предложил им вместо этого убить его. Он относится к деревьям и животным как к собственным детям. Видя это, мы тоже решили помочь», — сказал Сайкия.

Its literary meaning "ONE MAN CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE." If he was able to do it why not 10 people share to plant a tree and make sure it will grow, not just plant a tree and let it grow as in the wild...No we have to make sure it will grow.

This man has more will than any one i have recently read about!! He is more powerful than our President and Prime Minister who cannot even have an hecter of land protected. He "Jadav "Molai" Payeng" should be our Minister of Agriculture and Forest as the current one in place have no clue of what a plant is...!! Our prime minister should have him in the ministry asap. We are proud of you Jadav "Molai" Payeng...Jai Hind!!

The harvest one reaps each day is the fruits of the past which were planted by one in the past. The seed one plants in one's inner mechanism of mind, body and speech after tasting the fruits will be the fruit of the future. The seed that relates to mankind are the likes and dislikes. A like seed will result in a sweet fruit and a dislike seed will result in a bitter fruit.
e.g. of a seed: Have you have the following projection (seed) after tasting the fruit of hurting, causing someone to hurt or supporting someone hurting even slightly the ego of any living being?
I a total of 9 test of which one can see the seed's which are planted in one's life on a continuously.
Truly inspiring what one person can do if they have passion and great love for what they do. Teaches me to find what I love and grow it to a huge forest.
