Giving your life away through whatever gift you've been given; and we've All been given a gift of some kind or another, it is the Giving Away that sometimes is difficult for some people. My gift is Story and I too, gave it away. In 2005, I sold my small home and most of my possessions to use Story to serve others. It started in Belize with a volunteer literacy project and has taken me to inner city and poor rural areas of the US and to Kenya, Ghana and Haiti. The work has evolved from training teachers how to use their own indigenous stories so they could use their own culture to teach creative writing to currently serving people from all walks of life in the developing to share their life stories of resilience, innovation and entrepreneurship to break stereotypes and chance the pity/poverty model to the Potential and Possibility Model. I love my life. I may not have the biggest bank account, but my heart, spirit and soul are filled. Thank you so much for the val...
