There comes a moment when the spreadsheet falls from our hands. When the suit no longer fits. When something inside us begins to whisper a direction we cannot explain to anyone, sometimes not even to ourselves.
What if the plans we make are just scaffolding — necessary, perhaps, until life is ready to show us what it has been preparing all along?
A philosopher once said: "Don't make plans for life, because you might spoil the plans that life has for you." This isn't about recklessness. It's about learning to feel the carpet beneath your feet in the dark — that thin thread of inspiration that tells you when you've wandered off course. It's about noticing the contraction in your chest when something isn't yours to carry, and the strange, unexplainable rightness when it is.
The hummingbirds appear not to guide, but to confirm. You were already walking. They simply hover there to say: Yes. Keep going.
What would you follow if you trusted that the universe was holding you?
