This is a true story about a scientist named Dr. Rollin who discovered something wonderful about our hearts.
For more than thirty years, Dr. Rollin studied something special: the rhythm of our hearts. Not just the thump-thump you can hear, but the way each heartbeat creates a little wave of energy that spreads out around us—like ripples when you drop a pebble in a pond.
Dr. Rollin learned that our hearts are like conductors of an orchestra. When the conductor waves the baton smoothly and calmly, all the instruments play beautiful music together. But when the conductor gets frustrated and jerky, the music becomes all jumbled up.
The same thing happens inside us! When our hearts beat in a smooth, calm rhythm, our whole body works better. We think more clearly. We feel happier. We're kinder to others. But when we're worried or angry, everything gets choppy and mixed up inside.
Here's the really magical part: Dr. Rollin discovered that the feelings in our hearts don't stop at our skin. They spread out around us like invisible waves—waves that other people can feel! When you feel calm and loving inside, you're like a warm lamp glowing in a room. People near you feel safer and happier, even if they don't know why.
Dr. Rollin says there are many beautiful feelings we can share, like notes in a song: kindness, patience, forgiveness, and gratitude. Each one makes a different kind of gentle wave.
So Dr. Rollin taught people a simple practice: Stop during the day and ask yourself, "What kind of feeling am I sending out right now?" If it's a worried or grumpy feeling, you can change it! Just breathe slowly, pretending the air goes right through your heart. As you breathe, think of something that makes you feel calm and peaceful.
"We're always playing a song with our hearts," Dr. Rollin says. "We might as well make it beautiful."
And now, as you drift off to sleep, your heart is playing its own gentle nighttime song—a peaceful rhythm that spreads out like a soft blanket, keeping you safe and warm.

Thank you so much for this article. I've been using this piece in our meditation group (before the pandemic) at the beginning of each session. It proves to be an outstanding way to sync our hearts. I use meditation for healing stuck energies from the chaos of our lives. I wrote a book on this and all the frequencies that affect our beings. It is called Evolving in Love.
Thanks and blessings!
Keep up the good Heart!
