You mention the Safe Haven dogs. The 20th dog went to Home for Life, an amazing sanctuary in Minnesota. A young staffer had bonded with Sierra and got her out of Safe Haven before they killed her and I worked with him to get her to Home for LIfe. It definitely wasn't a concern by anybody other than the young staffer. http://www.homeforlife.org/...

Have you heard the news that Mark's studio suffered some damage from the snow and damaged about 1000 of his finished paintings. And he had only 5 left to go. It is a heartbreaking twist. He needs our support more than ever.

Though there is a law against putting down dogs unnecessarily here in India too, the number of dogs that are abandoned, practically on a daily basis is heartbreaking, apart from the cruelty that is reported from time to time in the news. There are so many kind hearted people and NGOs who try to get them adopted/fostered, but there are just no enough people to take them in, and then...............! I hope your documentary makes it to India, to be seen by all. I certainly look forward to seeing it. Bless you for your compassion and wonderful work! More power to you!

It's people like you who give people like me hope for humanity. Thank you, profoundly, for your efforts to spare the innocent and teach compassion on behalf of those without a voice. Your work is worthwhile, for all of us.

As a long time county animal shelter volunteer, my frustration is not with the public county facility which by law has to accept all animals brought in by the public or picked up as stray by the field officers which leads to overcrowding which leads to perfectly beautiful, loving dogs being euthanized, but with the irresponsible human owners who don't bother to put any identification on their animals, don't bother to get them neutered or spayed and then dump puppies in large trash cans; or when the animal gets to be 12 or 13 and needs some medical attention drops them off in a vacant field somewhere to end up in the shelter. Something as simple as a phone number written on a collar can save lives.

Well, over 5,000 children a day die just from bad drinking water and much more per day from starvation. Let's put the human condition first. So, nuke the bitch, feed a child.

Thank you for the depth of your compassion, courage and tenacity to see this to its conclusion. here's to changing a broken system. We also need for humans to realize animals are a lifetime commitment and to truly understand what they are signing up for when they bring a pet into their lives. Hugs to you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this act of love and compassion you are doing! Are these going to be in an exhibit around the country? Where can I see them?
