5 Razloga zašto Je Meditacija Bolja Od Iphonea

Ljudi kupuju iPhonee kako bi bili univerzalno povezani i imali mnoštvo sjajnih funkcija i mogućnosti na dohvat ruke. Ali kao što je mudri redovnik Heng Sure jednom rekao, sve što stvorimo u siliciju već postoji u ugljiku. Dodao bih da je silicijska tehnologija u najboljem slučaju loša kopija.
Pa kako točno iskoristiti divnu karbonsku tehnologiju koju stalno nosite sa sobom? Meditacija je fenomenalan alat za upravo to. Evo pet područja gdje meditacija pobjeđuje iPhone.
1. Povezivost
Istina je da se ne možete povezati ni s kim drugim osim ako niste u kontaktu sa samim sobom. iPhone vam omogućuje i potiče da budete marginalno prisutni kada ste fizički odsutni i marginalno odsutni kada ste fizički prisutni.
Meditacija vas vraća u kontakt sa samim sobom i pomaže vam da budete prisutni. Točka. Ponekad su meditanti toliko prisutni da su prisutni čak i kada su odsutni! A to njihovu sposobnost povezivanja čini daleko većom od one koju iPhone dopušta.

Koliko svojih Facebook prijatelja biste mogli pozvati na razgovor u 3 ujutro? Koliko tweetova biste mogli razmotriti dulje od raspona pažnje od 160 znakova?
Istina je da je kvaliteta ono što je važno, a meditacija ublažava bolest slučajnog uma kako bi dodala veću kvalitetu i relevantnost 'mentalnim tweetovima'. Slučajne misli se polako recikliraju u mentalno tlo, gnojeći misli vrijedne njegovanja dok se pažnja stabilizira i pojačava. Rastuće olakšanje koje osjećate od svog kaosa koji vam buja u glavi počinje graditi suosjećanje za tuđe probleme. I sami počinjete postajati osoba spremna priskočiti u pomoć u 3 ujutro ili jednostavno pomoći ljudima oko sebe da budu malo sretniji, a to vam počinje donositi dublje prijatelje koji su spremni uzvratiti istom mjerom.
Odjednom se stvarno zabavljaš gdje god se nalaziš, bez vremena za tvitovanje o tome, slikanje za Facebook ili pasivno praćenje tuđih života. Ptice istog perja se okupljaju, pa si ubrzo okružen istomišljenicima, utirući put slučajnim vezama koje ti izazivaju jezu na načine na koje povezivanje s najboljim prijateljem iz drugog razreda ili neuzvraćenim tajnim ljubavnikom s maturalne večeri na Facebooku nikada ne može.
3. Značajke i funkcionalnost
Nije li vam iPhoneova kamera od 5 megapiksela dovoljna? Što kažete na ekvivalent ljudskog oka od 324 megapiksela ? Nema dovoljno prostora na vašem iPhoneu za takve slike? Nitko ne zna dobar način za izračunavanje pohrane ljudskog mozga, ali vjerodostojne pretpostavke kažu da može pohraniti od 1 do 1000 terabajta informacija. Ne možete se toliko sjetiti, kažete? Meditacija poboljšava pamćenje , poništava gubitak pamćenja te odgađa ili sprječava Alzheimerovu bolest i demenciju. Što je s GPS-om? Meditacija vas stvarno uzemljuje i pomaže vam da shvatite gdje se nalazite i kamo idete. Što je s aplikacijama i igrama? Meditacija počinje otključavati igre koje najbolje igrate i otvara vas produktivnijim aplikacijama.
4. Okoliš
Kad vas sustigne planirano zastarijevanje, vaš iPhone postaje sve bliže tome da postane elektronički otpad, pun otrovnih kemikalija koje Kalifornija smatra opasnim otpadom. Obavezno ga reciklirajte kada završite s igranjem i podsjetite ostale da to učine.
U međuvremenu, meditacija ne povećava vaš utjecaj na planet, već ga može samo ublažiti. Nema puno istraživanja o tome, ali postoji mnogo anegdotskih dokaza koji pokazuju da ćete početi osjećati potrebu za manje materijalnih stvari. A to je sjajno za planet!
5. Trošak
Nakon svih vaših skupih podatkovnih planova i minuta, možete potrošiti 5 dolara ili više dnevno na svom iPhoneu. Meditacija je besplatna, osim onoga što platite za učenje ili pohađanje tečaja (a postoje i neke, poput Vipassane , gdje su vaši troškovi već pokriveni i plaćate unaprijed samo ako želite). A ako ozbiljno shvaćate vježbanje, meditacija vam se počinje isplatiti, jer vas sva ta usredotočenost čini produktivnijima, kreativnijima, pronicljivijima i energičnijima. To bih nazvao fantastičnom investicijom u bilo kojoj ekonomskoj klimi. :)
Ukratko, meditacija je neusporediva tehnologija koja daleko nadmašuje iPhone. Pošteno govoreći, svaka tehnologija jednostavno pojačava volju koju stavljate iza nje, a moguće je koristiti stvari poput iPhonea, Twittera i Facebooka, a istovremeno minimizirati njihove nedostatke, baš kao što je moguće i zloupotrijebiti meditaciju.
Ipak, otkrivanje blistavog potencijala naše urođene ugljične tehnologije beskrajno je fascinantnije od igranja sa silicijskom tehnologijom, i to će me godinama koje dolaze natjerati da se vraćam svom sedištu.

MBJYou raise a good point in your usual delightful, insightful way.As a recipient of so much proselytizing chatter for both the iPhone and meditation, I’m sure it would be a relief to silence the buzz around either. My post was aimed at muzzling at least half our common harassers in a light-hearted way more than anything else. Even the comparison I make establishes a false choice between the options, especially when considering how many iPhone-using meditators commented on the post.As for shilling meditation on the attention-deficited internet, its a little bit like putting a helmet on a narcoleptic: its bound to be awkward, doesn’t really solve the problem, but might just stop a head crackin’. While I wasn’t really trying to be much of a serious meditation monger, I’m not that uncomfortable with the legitimate clunky-ness of it all I do agree that serious conversations about meditation are best kept private, but if anything around this post could be considered to have turne... Rahul:This is a smart, clever, interesting comparison of two enabling tools currently undergoing a run of hip, faddish acceptance in the popular imagination. (Meditation, it must be said, has enjoyed a several-millennium longer run than the iPhone. Its persistence and longevity is itself strong evidence in favor of your thesis. Rahul, this is excellent. One thought on environment...meditation also helps deal with our personal unplanned obsolescence allowing us to age more gracefully without letting pain create toxic ripples of suffering around us.
