Požehnanie Pre vyčerpaného človeka

Keď sa rytmus srdca zrýchli,
Čas naberá na sile, až kým sa nezlomí;

Niečo v tebe sa uzavrelo;
A nedokážeš sa prinútiť vrátiť sa k životu.

Bol si nútený vstúpiť do prázdneho času.
Túžba, ktorá ťa poháňala, pominula.
Teraz neostáva nič iné, len oddychovať
A trpezlivo sa učte prijímať seba samého
Opustil si pre preteky dní.

Najprv sa tvoje myslenie zatemní
A smútok premáha ako bezvládne počasie.
Prúd nevyplakaných sĺz ťa vystraší.

Cestoval si príliš rýchlo po falošnej zemi;

Keď padá pomaly a voľne.

Napodobňujte zvyk súmraku,
Venovať čas otvoreniu studnice farieb
To podporovalo jasnosť dňa.

A big “AMEN” for these words of truth and shalom.

Resting in these words as Sunday evening is winding down. Sitting in the reflection Brian wrote about rest as a substance that spills over. Oh, to be a person of rest that contagiously overflows, living habitually as a rested, relaxed person. Tonight, my heart is at ease. Thank you for this winsome reflection. Making notes and prayers in my journal so I can return and remember.

Sometimes this traveling over false ground has been forced upon us, over an entire lifetime. The hope that my soul returns to recover me, especially after feeling this false life has expunged it, is unimaginable- but O’Donohue makes it no longer so.

This whole book by O'Donohue is a great blessing "To Bless the space between us." So sad that he has departed but grateful for the gifts he left behind--each of them a special gem of insight for our troubled world. John O'Donohue helps me remember what truly matters.

I cannot possibly tell you how timely this is for me right now...I am so grateful for your writing - you have provided a validation that I so desperately needed. It is only by the refuge, calmness, and gentleness you have so eloquently communicated that I have survived. Thank you, dear John O'Donahue for having written this. Thank you so, dear Daily Good, for having posted it.

Namaste, ~AJay

I like the expression, 'race of days'. It seems like this and to what end we run I'm sometimes unsure. I think it's because we feel we run out of time. We have to do things. To be seen to be doing things. I think it's time I stopped. Time to let everything flow around me and just let life happen.
