Njia 5 Za Kuleta Ufahamu Katika Maisha Ya Kila Siku

Inamaanisha nini kuwa mwangalifu? Kimsingi, uangalifu unamaanisha kuwa sasa, na kwa wakati huu. Ni muhimu tujikumbushe ukweli huu rahisi. Mara nyingi sana tunaweza kupoteza kiini cha kweli cha kuzingatia kwa kutatiza mambo kupita kiasi au kuweka mkazo wetu wote kwenye tendo la kutafakari pekee. Kuzingatia sio kitu tunachoacha kwenye kiti, lakini kitu ambacho tunaweza kubeba kupitia maisha yetu ya kila siku. Ikiwa tunaweza kutumia uangalifu kwenye kiti, basi kwa nini tusifanye mswaki, tukikutana na rafiki wa zamani, au hata tukingojea treni yetu ya asubuhi? Nyakati hizi zote zinatupatia fursa ya kutumia uangalifu, na kuishi maisha yetu kikamilifu zaidi, katika wakati uliopo.

Kulingana na utafiti wa hivi karibuni, tunatumia hadi asilimia 50 ya muda wetu katika mawazo yetu; sababu iliyothibitishwa kuchangia kutokuwa na furaha kwetu. Badala ya kusogea katika maisha yetu katika hali ya kupigwa na butwaa, kumezwa na mawazo ya kile ambacho kingeweza kuwa au kupanga yale mambo ambayo hatuna uwezo nayo hapo kwanza, uangalifu huturuhusu kujihusisha na mambo ya hapa na pale na kuyaendea maisha yetu kwa uwazi zaidi na amani ya akili.

Mara nyingi ni katika shughuli zinazorudiwa-rudiwa zaidi, za kila siku ndipo tunajikuta tukibadilisha kuwa majaribio ya kiotomatiki. Kwa hivyo kwa nini usikumbatie nyakati hizi na kuziona kama fursa ya kuwa mwangalifu zaidi? Katika sehemu hii wataalamu wa umakini katika Headspace hutoa vidokezo vyao kuhusu jinsi bora ya kujumuisha umakini katika maisha yetu ya kila siku. Kumbuka usiwe na wasiwasi juu ya kujaribu kuondoa mawazo au hisia zozote akilini. Badala yake, jaribu na ujione ukichukua kiti cha nyuma; kushuhudia mawazo na hisia huku zikija na kuondoka. Ukijikuta ukikengeushwa rudisha umakini wako kwenye hisi za mwili na uelekeze umakini wako kwenye shughuli yenyewe.

1. Kuwa na Makini Katika Kuoga

Bila kujali: Ufahamu usio wazi wa hisia za maji unapoingia kwenye oga. Vita vya kila siku na udhibiti wa halijoto vikijaribu kubaini kwa nini halijoto haifikii kabisa. Ndani ya sekunde chache akili yako inatangatanga kwenye kipindi hicho cha American Idol jana usiku. Je, Simon Cowell alikuwa amevaa wigi? Je, nywele zake zinang'aa kiasili? Najiuliza hizo suruali za kiuno kirefu anazipata wapi...?

Kuzingatia: Unafahamu jinsi maji ya joto yanavyohisi wakati yanaosha juu ya ngozi yako. Kuzingatia harufu ya gel ya kuoga, na hisia mikono yako inapita juu ya ngozi yako; kuwa mwangalifu kuweka hali ya joto kabla ya kuoga; kuzingatia mawazo yanayojitokeza; kumbuka ni kiasi gani cha maji unachotumia; na kukumbuka kelele za maji yakisimama.

2. Kuwa mwangalifu unapopiga Mswaki

Bila kujali: Kupiga mswaki kwa hasira, huku nikiona tafakari yako na kuomboleza mwonekano wa eneo hilo ambalo linaonekana kutokeza popote. Kukimbia kuzunguka nyumba na mswaki ukining'inia mdomoni mwako, ukijaribu kuandaa kiamsha kinywa, pata chakula cha mchana cha leo huku ukitafuta funguo za gari ambazo hazipatikani kamwe.

Kuzingatia: Kuzingatia ladha na muundo wa dawa ya meno; kumbuka hisia za miguu yako kwenye sakafu ya bafuni; kumbuka jinsi mkono wako unavyosonga kuelekeza mswaki kwenye meno yako; makini na kila jino.

3. Kuwa mwangalifu kwenye Safari yako

Bila kujali: Umebanwa ndani ya gari moshi au basi kwa njia ambayo hukufikiria kuwa inawezekana kibinadamu. Kinyongo huongezeka unaposonga katika safari na watu hujifungua kwenye anga kana kwamba ulimwengu unakaribia mwisho na hii ndiyo njia pekee ya usalama. Unajikuta ukishusha pumzi kwa sababu huwezi kustahimili harufu mbaya ya mwili na manukato ya bei nafuu, ukitamani kwamba ungeweza kujisafirisha kwa njia ya ajabu hadi kwenye baa hiyo ya kuogelea ya Karibea unayoitazama kwenye gazeti..“Vinywaji vya Tropicana havilipishwi…”

Kuzingatia: Kuwa makini na watu walio karibu nawe na kutambua kwamba wao pia wanaweza kuwa wanahisi usumbufu sawa; makini na mazingira kwa ujumla na upinzani wako kwake; kumbuka kujaribu kusonga mbele kwa hali ya ndoto, ya kutoroka wakati uliopo; makini na safari na jinsi inavyohisi - je, safari ni ngumu au ni ya kustarehesha na laini?

4. Kuwa mwangalifu wakati wa Kuosha

Bila kujali: Unakaribia sinki kwa moyo mzito na kuanza kuosha vyombo kwa bidii, ukijaribu kumaliza kitu kizima kwa muda mfupi iwezekanavyo. Unachagua vipande vya vipandikizi unavyojua vitasababisha usumbufu mdogo zaidi (ungo na sufuria hiyo yenye mafuta huwa mwisho, kwa hakika!) Unajikuta ukiota ndotoni nje ya dirisha nusu ukijua kisu hicho chenye ncha kali kinachootea chini ya sinki. Unamwona paka wako akitoka kwa unyonge kutoka kwa faraja ya sofa. Je! haitakuwa nzuri kuwa paka ...

Kuzingatia: Kuwa na ufahamu wa hisia mara tu mikono yako inapopiga maji ya joto na sabuni; kumbuka jinsi unavyosafisha sahani, kuchukua muda wako ili kuhakikisha kuwa kila mmoja wao amesafishwa vizuri; kumbuka kile kinachoendelea karibu nawe bila kuingizwa katika hadithi; kumbuka kuridhika kwa kazi iliyofanywa vizuri.

5. Kuwa Makini Katika Foleni

Bila kujali: Unasimama kutetemeka, umejaa kutokuwa na subira kwenye foleni. Unatazama simu yako na kuchanganua bila malengo kupitia barua pepe na maandishi ya zamani, ukitafuta kitu, chochote ambacho kinaweza kukukengeusha kutoka kwa uchovu wa kungoja. Unapumua kwa sauti kubwa unapogundua mtu anapapasa na mkoba wake kwenye dawati la keshia. Je, watu hawa hawawezi kuwa tayari zaidi? Unajisikia karibu na begi lako kutoa kila kitu na kuwa tayari, na kutambua kuwa umeacha kadi yako ya mkopo kwenye dawati lako baada ya kulipia tikiti hiyo ya tamasha...


Kuzingatia: Ulianza kwa uangalifu na ukijiandaa kwa utulivu kwa kile utakachohitaji; kumbuka jinsi mhemko wako unavyobadilika unapoona mara ya kwanza foleni ya benki; kumbuka jinsi unavyosimama, pumzi yako na mahali ambapo mivutano yoyote iko unapopitia mwili wako; kumbuka tabia ya kujisumbua kutoka kwa wakati uliopo; na kuzingatia jinsi unavyowasiliana na watu walio karibu nawe.

I love this. I was more relaxed being mindful while reading this. I was thinking how good it felt to sit down, how it felt for my feet to relax after a long day, listening to the background noise of what's going on at home without really paying attention to the details. Just hearing the noise.

Really very nicely articulated article about mindfullness in daily life. Random thoughts really don't help us , but they create most of our problems.These little practices help us to make our mind quite and connect us to our true being.Thanks alot.

This is not exactly what I think of when I practice mindfulness. Yes, it can be applied towards it, but I feel as though sometimes it is not what a particular individual needs. When I practice mindfulness, it is certainly about being as aware as possible of the present moment. However, that has more to do with not dwelling on the past and/or worrying about the future. All we have for certain is the present moment. And also, dwelling on the past will not do anything for the present moment aside from added distress. In the same regard, worrying about the future will do nothing to change whatever may come of the future. All it will do is take away from the moment you have in your current possession.Realize that we don't know when our last moment is so live life to your fullest. Work towards the goals that are most important to you. Treat others with dignity and respect. Everyone is fighting their own battle, regardless of how large or small. I am not much for trying to change what nature created. Sometimes allowing unmindfulness IS good, relaxing, rejuvenating. It is a natural phenomenon which I would guess is part of our design to deal with stress and maintain emotional/spiritual/mental homeostasis. Just don't daydream when you're operating machinery!

Great article! I like that it shows the difference between being mindful and being unmindful. For some more ideas, there is book published by Adams Media titled "5-Minute Mindfulness". The bottom of the cover page says "Simple Daily Shortcuts to Transform Your Life".

This is a state, one can't manipulate oneself into it, otherwise it is just fake. It only can be the result of ones *growing* process, when one finally could go beyond being trapped in ones identification with ones mindset and then just is *being*...

Liked your ideas on how to start your day with mindfulness. I suggest being mindful while your walking. Notice the natural beauty that is available. A neighbor's garden. A butterfly fluttering by you. This will bring you to recognize the small joys available.

This id's a great article. Exactly what I always try to do. I find one if the most important things I'd bring mindful of the body and its sensations. Feel it. Everything.
