Even if we can't change the world, we can change ourselves with hope.

This is a great article, thank-you so much! There are so many wonderful quotes from here, this one for example: "That’s when we might need hope—but while hope might spring eternal, it also requires intentional, conscious cultivation, so that it can be there when you need it." I have designed a program called "The Hope Accelerator" that is exactly along those lines...I would add that hope is a cognitive construct, an emotion, a process AND hope is a MINDSET. We will have hope when we need it only when it becomes a part of our being. That requires intention, agency, practice and support. I love the idea of how we need community for hope- thank-you Dr. Hass!

Thank you for the reminders, especially that hope can be contagious. :) As Mother Teresa said, "Not all of us can do great things, but we can all do small things with great love." Peace to all

This touches all the deep convictions that we must implement in our lives. Thank You for a gentle reminded of what our lives can and must be in turbulent times. Life is challenging but so are we. When we no longer are able to be we must look toward our greater power. Thank You.
